In advanced powder coating systems, excess powder that is not applied to the surface is collected by suction systems inside the booth and sent for recycling. Powder coating filters used in these suction systems capture the powder and transfer it for reuse.

Which filter should I choose?

Among these options, paper filters are more cost-effective but have the shortest lifespan. Teflon filters, which are widely used in the industry, are more durable compared to paper filters. Nanofiber Teflon filters offer significantly longer service life and superior performance compared to the other two types. You can choose the most suitable filter based on your operating frequency.

What is a filter cage?

These are protective cages that increase the durability of the filters. By choosing the cage-supported version of the filter, you can extend its service life.

Is it necessary to use filters in powder coating applications?

Powder coating is a process in which powder particles are discharged from equipment and adhere to the metal surface due to electrostatic charge. As known, there is an attraction force between positive and negative charges. In powder coating applications, the charge difference between the powder and the metal surface ensures adhesion. To prevent powder from sticking to unintended surfaces in the application area, the use of filters is necessary. Otherwise, airborne powder particles may adhere to surfaces other than the target metal. Additionally, using filters enables powder recovery and reuse.
